My son Matthew, my nephew Brandon and I left our house at about 7:15 this morning. It is always difficult to kiss my wife goodbye, and it is getting harder as the years go by. She is the rock of my life here, but I am hers as well. It was well after noon before I heard the boys say “Can we please stop and go to the bathroom?!” I looked at the gas gauge, decided that now was good time, so we pulled into, what amounted to, the only gas station/truck stop that wasn’t selling gas in the whole state of Missouri! So 10 minutes later we had to stop again.
We pulled in to Van Buren Arkansas about 1:30 this afternoon, rested, and are eagerly awaiting dinner. This conference we are at is called the “Contending for the Faith” conference. Along with myself, Pastor Mike Hutsell, Pastor John Williams and others will be speaking tonight and tomorrow. I love these men and am looking forward to hearing from them. The first service begins tonight at 7:00. I’ll let you know how it went later.
I am going over some of my emails, although Alicia has printed them out and set them on my desk for when I get back. Be patient in hearing back from me, it will take awhile. Be assured that although I may not be able to answer all of them, I will do my best.
