We have had tremendous response from the live streaming of our services, and we thank you all for joining in. Tomorrow night we will be streaming our Communion service. This is a very special service for us at Bethel, a chance to show out Lord’s death until He comes again. We encourage all to join with us during this time.
Communion wafers can be purchased from a local Christian bookstore, or if you wish, you can find matza bread in some supermarkets that have international or cultural foods. In a pinch you can use unsalted crackers, or simply make your own unleavened bread. We use non alcoholic grape juice. Following our Lord’s supper, we will participate in washing of the saints feet, in accordance with John 13:14. This can also be done in your home as families participate together. May God bless us all as we celebrate the fellowship of the Cross together.

I have never before received so many emails on one subject as I have my latest blog post. I responded to the first four, then after that I realized that I couldn’t keep up. Thank you from Lisa and I and our family for all the kindness and prayers you have extended our way and on our behalf. May the Lord visit you with that same kindness.
We will still be broadcasting our services live and I hope you will be tuning in tomorrow morning around 9:45 a.m. central time.

My wife and I were called about 12:30 today by our nephew who found my wife’s brother Steve dead in his home. He was 53 years old and tomorrow would have been his birthday. He had a string of health problems brought on by a hard lifestyle. When Lisa and I got married over 23 years ago, I went to work with him and my new father in law as a house painter and drywaller. I was young and lazy back then, and Steve introduced me to the world of hard work. Over the years we became good co-workers and good friends. His life was stable while I worked with him, but took a turn later on. About a year ago he came to a family function looking very pale and breathing from an oxygen bottle. This really bothered me, enough that I prayed to the Lord that before Steve died, I wanted a chance to be with him to witness to him. A couple of months ago he moved back into the area and started coming to church with us. At one time a couple of years ago Steve asked God to save him at our church. I baptized him, and encouraged him plenty, but I could tell he still struggled with the ways of the world. Just because we are not faithful, doesn’t mean that God isn’t. God heard his prayer then and delivered. In the last two months I would watch Steve nod his head and let out an occasional “amen” during the preaching. I knew God had made him different. Last Sunday Steve came to church and came into my office. He said “Mike, I want to be sure.” I knew then that he meant business with God.
We are sad now, because we miss him, but happy that God’s salvation works!
I am taking the week off from the watchman forum as we mourn the loss of someone who became a brother to me in more ways than one.

Tonight while working on some notes for our Revelation bible study, God has shown me some amazing things about stars from the King James Bible. I will be sharing this tomorrow. I weep often about how wondrous God’s word is and how wretched I am, and yet He still guides us with His loving hand and has mercy on His children.
My hope and prayer for you is that if there is still any doubt as to the total perfection of the KJV, there will be no doubt after our study in God’s incorruptible word.
Pastor Mike
As many of you know, we started broadcasting all of our services live over the internet. We weren’t prepared for the response. Sunday morning there were over 200 tuned in to our morning church service! we praise the Lord for that, and I am glad you were a part of it. What you will see is a simple small church. We are relaxed, have a little fun, make mistakes playing songs (me especially), We are just “us”. Our church services are not a “show” and probably not very entertaining, but it is our gathering together to worship the Lord, and be fed from His Word. Sometimes you will see me very energetic, sometimes you will see me not so energetic. That is just how it is. We invite you to come be a part of that with us at each of our services.
We had a few technical problems with the live feed that I traced to a slow computer. I have ordered an upgrade that should handle all the streams we are sending out. Hopefully what we do there will be better in the future.
Also, we are going to start putting together our Watcher’s packets this week. Every month we mail all of our Watchman broadcast, bible studies, sermons, etc. on DVD or Cd. If you wish to be put on this list, just send us a note. We do ask that you consider a monthly donation of any amount to help with our growing costs, however, we have never turned anyone down yet.
I love you and hope you have a wonderful week in the Lord. Don’t fret all the stuff that is going on, lift up your head, your redemption draweth nigh.

What’s the significance of the name given to the operation to bomb Libya?
PLEASE NOTE: Pastor Mike had technical issues with the microphone in this episode. The resulting audio is a bit “tinny” — but is still clear and easy to understand.
